operation: progress.

this has been the craziest week. and it’s only wednesday…

sunrise

this is what it looks like when i get up, around 6:30 am. i’m at the computer by 7 and i work until mathew comes home, at about 8 or 9 pm. last night we didn’t eat dinner until midnight (which we actually cooked at 9), because the urge to plaster got in the way…

plasterplaster

plaster

plaster

that’s mathew burnishing the 3rd and final layer of plaster. as usual, he is quite critical about his 2nd attempt ever (!) to plaster a wall, but i think it turned out pretty great. and there are so many more walls to practice on. as you can tell, i am just the helper, i mix the plaster and apply it to the hawk (that’s the thing in his left hand that holds the plaster.) i also clean up his messes, offer encouragement and sing along with the radio.

will there be more plaster tonight? perhaps. but i think i’d rather eat, then sleep.

happy thanksgiving everyone!

  1. Hello you busy bees you seem to be burning candles at both ends and in the middle.I hope the drains have begun to function properly now. I am enjoying the blog or is it a web site?
I am about to make Mia a birthday cake for Saturday. My cars in the garage because the breaks have to be seen to. I was shoched to find they were not working on tuesday fortunately I wasn’t going fast when I managed to stop half way accross a pedestrian crossing outsid Brighton hospital. I narrowly missed a pedestrain-such a shock.I went on a course to find out how to be a property investor last week end. Andi Skellam came to Brighton on Tuesday evening and I managed to get Stella and Chris to his CD launch and met his girl friend Rachel. I enjyed the music and Andi has the deepest most resonant voice. All the performers sang and played hteir own music. One of the band played a Corra and Rachel banjo ,Andi is an amazing guitarist. I am so impressed and have bought a CD.I had better get on with the cooking and clearing out my cupboards.I went to see one of Daniels old flames from his Ibitha hippy days and had such a long chat.Jill lives in brighton and just had a hio replacement so we had a little walk around Preston Park.
I shall drive to Bournemouth on saturday morning. The weather cheered up today it was so dark and dreary and I was in a snow blizzard on the motor way last weekend.
Apart from low energy levels I feel OK.
So I hope you are not too plastered to have lots of hugs from me mumsu

  3. Hey! Mathew’s plastering “my wall”. Very nice. Definitely much better than I would be able to do. I do want to come by sometime to help again. May be when it’s painting time. I can then paint “my wall”. Hope to see you soon. And if you get a chance amid all your craziness, I just posted a blog about Thanksgiving.
